Owner and lead inspector, Mike has been interested in home design, repair and maintenance since he was a kid. He learned many of his skills from his father that taught him all aspects of home maintenance and repair. Sometimes the lesson of the day was ways not to do things, but learning was always the key. Those projects are what led to a life long love of homes and home construction. After high school, Mike went on to college to earn his computer science degree.  When he left college he obtained a job in the engineering department of a major telecommunications corporation.  While working full time in the telecom world for 20 years Mike also had side jobs doing home repairs and remodeling work. Combining the work and life experiences from construction, engineering, IT and marketing he formed Combs and Co Home Inspectors. 

Mike took the required courses to become a Home Inspector through Inspection Certification Associates and realized his passion for inspecting finishing in the top of his class. He was also extremely fortunate to be able to receive his hands on field training from one of the top inspectors on the east coast. Mike is a licensed Home Inspector in North Carolina and a Certified Professional Inspector through InterNACHI.  Mike is always working to improve himself as a person and an inspector and constantly reading and taking classes related to business and inspecting.

Personally, Mike lives in Albemarle with his beautiful wife Marsha and their two children.
